As the Senior Librarian (Resources) you will be part of a high performing team focused on providing the Griffith community with access to the resources they need to engage in outstanding scholarship and research.

    Job Description

    This position reports to the Manager, Scholarly Resource Services and works closely with the Head of Scholarly Resource and Library Campus Services. The position supports effective management of the Library Resources Budget and scholarly resource procurement ensuring compliance with university procurement processes. The position may be involved in the delivery of a number of supports and can work across a variety of tasks, including:

    • Analysing and interpreting data that supports collection development
    • Undertaking negotiations for the procurement and licencing of resources
    • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with vendors, publishers, and agents’ representatives 
    • Collaborating with stakeholders across the library to identify and promote new acquisitions
    • Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and copyright laws.

    About you 
    You should have some previous experience in delivering library services or supporting information technology in a higher education context, 

    You will also be: 

    • A good communicator with demonstrated strong client support and problem solving skills. 
    • Flexible, well-organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.   
    • Focused on continuous improvement within a rapidly changing environment. 
    • Tertiary qualified in library or information science or other relevant discipline, and eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, experience, and training.  

    What we can offer 
    This is a continuing, full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. 

    Salary Range 
    The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 7 range $101,068 - $109,496 per annum + 17% superannuation.
