Job Description
The Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics has brought together Griffith’s formidable strengths in biomedical research by combining the outstanding discovery and translational research, infrastructure, and training expertise of the Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery, the Institute for Glycomics and biomedical teams from within the former Menzies Health Institute Queensland. The Institute for Biomedicine and Glycomics will deliver real and immediate impacts locally and globally, transforming the lives of people around the world, especially those in disadvantaged communities.
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide efficient and effective daily management of the reception desk, the provision of administrative support to the Institute, and co-ordination of associated office duties ensuring high standard service delivery and outcomes.
About you
The successful candidate will have a diploma or certificate level qualification with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.
You will be enthusiastic and energetic, highly motivated and be able to demonstrate a high degree of organisation competence. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to liaise with students and staff of all levels at the University.

This is a fixed term (3 years), full-time on-campus position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full-time base salary for a HEW Level 4 is in the range $73,623 - $77,680 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range $86,139 - $90,886 per annum.
