The Opportunity
The Department of Employment Relations and Human Resources within the Griffith Business School is currently looking for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander academic for the position of Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour and Employment Relations.

Candidates will be expected to teach across a breadth of courses within the Department and will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Director Academic Indigenous, Griffith Business School on embedding First Peoples knowledges in our curriculum, research, and learning & teaching including sitting on the GBS Indigenous Working Party.
  • Supporting the Dean (Academic) with the recruitment and selection of First Peoples staff, the Dean (Research) in the support of First Peoples HDRs and research projects and the Dean (Engagement) in schools’ outreach and alumni opportunities.
  • Teaching into subjects across the School, which host Indigenous knowledge, work with convenors to develop curriculum, and the Dean (Learning & Teaching) to oversee the collection of Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB) accreditation data related to the First People Program Learning Objectives (PLO).
  • The candidate will also have a research profile, publications and experience coordinating and developing research projects.

About you
We are inviting applications from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander academics interested in a career at Griffith University. Your expertise and unique perspective will play a pivotal role in enriching our academic landscape and driving positive change. To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • A PhD qualification in a relevant discipline or field.
  • Have experience in embedding First Peoples Knowledges in Higher Education curriculum.
  • Experience in First Peoples Research topics/projects, successful funding, or consultancy work.
  • Experience and interest in Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, and Employment Relations.

Candidates must demonstrate success in attracting significant external research funding, evidence of a competitive research track record and national recognition consistent with discipline benchmarks, and proven experience in developing partnerships and collaborations with leading institutions and research end-users in their field.

What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

The full time equivalent base salary for Senior Lecturer, Level C will be $128,802 - $148,520 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $150,698 - $173,768 per annum.
