Company Description

BioSpine is an ongoing research project conducted within the Griffith Centre of Biomedical and Rehabilitation Engineering (GCORE). The project develops and translates integrated rehabilitation technologies to restore voluntary movement in people with spinal cord injury. The main project deliverables are developing and testing an electromechanical robotic rehabilitation system integrating brain-computer interfaces, human-machine interfaces, gamified cross reality, and controlled by a digital twin comprising of a personalised neuromusculoskeletal model.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to assist the day-to-day operations of the BioSpine team. You will also be a key point of contact for BioSpine and its stakeholders which include prospective and current study participants, students, alumni, donors, staff, and corporate partners. Other duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support the team during meetings with internal and external stakeholders, which will include the preparation of agendas and minutes and ensure follow up of actions.
  • Review and update web and social media content ensuring relevance and organise and coordinate events and activities.
  • Experience managing social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter/X), creating graphics, producing reports and updating websites.
  • Providing general administrative support including diary and travel management, record management, managing the flow of information, maintaining and reviewing administrative processes and making suggestions for improvement.
  • Design and maintain databases and online systems, undertake procurement and financial transactions using the University’s finance systems (eg payment and invoice requests) and participate on user testing/implementation working parties for new/upgraded University systems as required.
  • Perform routine research and project work, including data collection and entry and the preparation and formatting of correspondence, presentations, reports and project applications.
  • High- level organisational, problem solving and administrative skills including advanced use of MS Office.

What we can offer

This is a fixed term (three years), part time position (0.6FTE) with flexibility around working hours. The position is primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus.

The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW 5 Level range $74,016 - $83,033 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $86,598 - $97,148 per annum.
