Join Melbourne's leading multidisciplinary emergency and referral hospital

Centre for Animal Referral & Emergency (CARE) Veterinary Hospital in Collingwood, Melbourne, is looking for a second Veterinary Criticalist to join our highly regarded Emergency & Critical Care team. You will work in a specialist-led, collaborative multi-specialty setting, managing a varied and rewarding caseload while helping shape the future of our ECC service.

Whether you are a board-certified Criticalist, residency-trained clinician, or a registrar working towards credentialing, CARE offers a supportive environment focused on clinical excellence, professional growth, and exceptional patient care.

Why CARE?

Located in the vibrant inner-Melbourne suburb of Collingwood, CARE is one of Australia's most respected multidisciplinary referral and emergency hospitals. Our team is committed to delivering outstanding patient outcomes through collaboration, innovation, and a shared passion for veterinary medicine.

Within the department, you'll join Dr Christine Lovatt (DACVECC) and a team of Membership-qualified vets, experienced clinicians and interns. As part of a specialist referral hospital, you'll work closely with experts across multiple disciplines, ensuring seamless patient care and access to advanced diagnostics and treatment options.

Our ECC department manages a broad range of emergency and critical care presentations and is supported by a highly skilled nursing team and experienced clinicians who thrive in a collegial and supportive environment.

The role works closely with:

  • The wider ECC team

Together, you'll help create strong patient pathways through the hospital while supporting high-quality clinical decision making and workflow management.
