Someone who understands that exceptional veterinary care starts long before a pet sees a veterinarian and often continues long after they leave the clinic.

Perhaps you're a former Head Nurse, Practice Manager, Senior Veterinary Nurse, or experienced veterinary professional looking to step away from the demands of leadership or back-of-house nursing while still remaining connected to the profession you love.

Due to an upcoming maternity leave and the continued growth of our clinic, including the addition of another veterinarian to the team, we're excited to welcome a new Customer Relations Team Member to support our busy and growing practice.

This isn't your typical reception position.

You'll work closely alongside our existing Receptionist to continue elevating the client and patient journey, helping create the warm, welcoming, and professional experience that our clients have come to expect.

You'll be the reassuring voice on the phone, the friendly face greeting clients at the front desk, and the person helping pet owners navigate both exciting milestones and difficult moments with compassion and confidence.

About the Role

As a Customer Relations Team Member, you'll be responsible for creating outstanding experiences for every client and patient that visits our clinic.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
• Managing appointment bookings and scheduling
• Answering phone calls and responding to enquiries
• Supporting clients through admissions and discharges
• Managing client communications via phone and email
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
• Supporting veterinarians and nurses with administrative tasks
• Assisting with patient triage and directing enquiries appropriately
• Providing general advice regarding preventative healthcare, nutrition, and parasite control
• Helping maintain efficient daily clinic operations
• Building strong relationships with clients and their pets
• Delivering exceptional customer service during both routine visits and challenging situations

Availability Requirements

This is a permanent part-time position of approximately 30 hours per week.

To support our busiest periods and allow for a thorough handover before our team member commences maternity leave, the successful candidate must be available to work the following roster:

Monday to Thursday

• 12:00pm - 7:00pm

Friday

• 8:00am - 2:00pm

Saturday

• 9:00am - 12:00pm/1:00pm

Ideally, we'd love someone available every Saturday, however a minimum of one Saturday per month would be considered.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous veterinary industry experience
• Is passionate about customer service and creating exceptional client experiences
• Enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets
• Is confident communicating with a wide range of people
• Has strong organisational and administrative skills
• Can remain calm, professional, and compassionate in a busy environment
• Takes pride in attention to detail
• Works collaboratively and positively within a team
• Is reliable, dependable, and accountable
