Veterinary Associate - Greencross Macedon Ranges
- Part-time
Company Description
Looking for a clinic where you can practise quality medicine, enjoy a varied caseload, and be part of a genuinely supportive team?
Greencross Macedon Ranges is seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our close-knit rural practice in beautiful Woodend. This permanent part-time role offers a minimum of 28.5 hours per week and would suit a vet who is confident in consulting, routine surgery, and sole charge when required.
Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to practise high-quality medicine and surgery in a well-supported rural clinic. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, routine surgical procedures and ongoing patient care.
With a Veterinarian Director who has a keen interest in ultrasound and internal medicine, our team is passionate about managing cases in-house wherever possible. Rather than referring routine medical work, we actively investigate and treat a broad range of conditions, giving our veterinarians exposure to a diverse and engaging caseload.
You'll work alongside an experienced team of veterinarians, four permanent nurses and two casual nurses who are dedicated to providing outstanding patient care. The clinic also sees a significant number of wildlife presentations throughout the year, adding another layer of variety and challenge to an already rewarding role.
Why Join Us?

- Wildlife exposure, with native birds and other local wildlife patients regularly presenting
- Well-equipped clinic with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, IM3 dental and orthopaedic equipment
- CE support, study leave, AVA and VIN memberships
- Mental health and wellbeing support
- Located just one hour from Melbourne CBD, with the train station within walking distance
Qualifications
- Veterinary degree recognised for registration in Australia
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in small animal practice
- Confidence in routine surgery and general practice consultations
- Comfortable working sole charge when required
- A flexible and adaptable approach with a commitment to high standards of care
- Strong communication, organisational and client relationship skills
- A collaborative mindset and genuine enjoyment of working within a team environment
