Our large multidisciplinary specialist team includes an exceptional Surgery service comprising highly experienced surgeons, residents and interns who manage a diverse caseload ranging from routine orthopaedics to the most complex referral procedures. You'll be surrounded by respected specialists and educators who are passionate about mentoring, collaboration, and developing the next generation of veterinary professionals. What to Expect
You will work a flexible roster based on the needs of the Department, but essentially it is a day shift roster Monday to Friday. Working under supervision there will be the opportunity to engage directly and frequently with the four Surgeons and other departmental specialists. Journal reviews and the writing of papers will be encouraged and supported as part of further learning. Suitable for a Vet in the early stages of their career seeking to develop their knowledge and skills in Surgery.
The department-specific Internships will enable the successful applicants to advance their knowledge and gain skills in key aspects of the veterinary industry in a modern, world class facility.
About You
- A Veterinary degree registerable in the ACT
- Ideally have completed a rotating internship or equivalent although this is not essential.
- A keen interest in developing your knowledge and skills in surgery.
