About the Role

This part-time Veterinary Nurse position offers a consistent roster of 4 days per week, working:

• Monday
• Tuesday
• Thursday
• Friday

The ideal shift times are 8:15am – 5:15pm or 8:30am – 5:30pm, providing consistency and work-life balance while allowing you to become an integral part of our team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and procedures
• Pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
• Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery
• Performing pathology collection and diagnostic testing
• Administering medications and treatments
• Caring for hospitalised patients
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Handling client enquiries professionally in person, via email, and over the phone
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
• Supporting the day-to-day operation of the clinic

This is a hands-on role where your skills, initiative, and ability to work collaboratively will be highly valued, while providing the consistency of a regular weekly roster. 🐾

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
• Has strong clinical veterinary nursing experience
• Has a strong understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• Is confident monitoring anaesthesia
• Demonstrates excellent animal handling skills
• Has outstanding communication and customer service abilities
• Works well both independently and as part of a team
• Brings a calm, friendly, and professional attitude
• Enjoys working in a busy clinic environment
• Has experience with RxWorks (highly regarded but not essential)
