About the hospital
ARH Brisbane, a specialist and emergency hospital at Sinnamon Park in Brisbane’s west, opened 9 years ago and has grown steadily since. Our purpose-designed, state of the art hospital offers services in internal medicine, small animal surgery, neurology and medical and surgical oncology, as well as an after-hours emergency service. Facilities include in-house diagnostic laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiography, CT and MRI scanners and endoscopy.
About the internship
Interns work under the guidance of our internal medicine specialists and registrars assisted by experienced nursing staff. Interns also have close involvement with other professional services, including specialists in diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia and critical care.
Interns are expected to participate in daily rounds and weekly journal club or case presentations.

Requirements
Candidates must be eligible for veterinary registration in QLD, hold a current radiation licence, and have excellent communication skills and work ethic as well as a strong knowledge base on which to build. Clinical experience is desirable but not essential.
The internship will commence in January 2027 and is for 12 months, with an option to extend to 18 months. Applications should include curriculum vitae, a cover letter stating the reasons for seeking the internship and the name and contact details (including phone number) of three referees with at least one from an academic and one from a practice/clinical background.
