Vet Nurse Assistant | CARE, Collingwood

• Permanent Part time, Monday to Friday 6am – 11am
• No qualifications required - just curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to learn

As a Vet Nurse Assistant with CARE, you will play a critical role in the wellbeing of hospitalised patients we care for. You will be there to provide comfort and the basic necessities, food and water, walks, a clean bed, etc. as well as to support our incredibly hardworking team keeping the hospital sparkling clean and well stocked. Our clinic assistant team are greatly valued and are an integral part of the success of the day to day running of our hospital!

Your duties will include:

• Assist veterinary nurses and veterinarians as required
• Cage cleaning and re-setting
• Walking, feeding and watering patients under nurse instruction
• Maintaining cleanliness of hospital areas, including floors, throughout the day as required
• Daily laundry upkeep 
• Cleaning of patient dishes

About you:

• Currently enrolled in Cert IV in Vet Nursing desirable but not required
• Previous experience in the animal care industry OR ability to handle animals with gentleness and confidence
• Adaptable and enthusiastic
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
