Qualification requirements: Must have completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
Program Structure & Overview
The 12-Month Rotating Veterinary Technician Internship offers an immersive, hands-on training experience across five core veterinary departments. Technicians will rotate through each department every 4 weeks, working full-time on a 9-day fortnight schedule (except on ECC rotation). This program is designed to provide diverse, in-depth exposure to a variety of veterinary specialties, helping technicians build proficiency in a range of clinical skills while maintaining work-life balance.
Technicians will have the ability to rotate through the following departments:
- Internal Medicine & Neurology
- Surgery & Anaesthesia
- Hospital (Ward Nursing)
- Emergency & Critical Care (ECC)
- Oncology
Internship Desires and Goals
- To gain comprehensive exposure across multiple departments through a structured 4-week rotation over a 12-month period
- Develop advanced veterinary nursing skills and build confidence in clinical practice
- To receive continuous mentorship and hands-on training from specialists, department leaders, and the nursing team
- Provide gold standard care to all our patients
- To be considered for a permanent position upon successful completion of the internship program
