Greencross Vets Chatswood | Full-Time, Assistant to the Vet

We're looking for a relaxed and friendly Veterinary Nurse who prides themselves on being reliable and diligent, to work alongside one of our Vets, helping keep the wheels turning smoothly behind the scenes.

In this unique role you will be assisting the vet during both consultations and surgeries, and outside of that - managing their schedule, coordinating communications, and helping ensure the day runs seamlessly. You will be a steady, dependable presence who’s always thinking one step ahead, sometimes solving problems quietly in the background, and showing up with thoughtfulness and heart.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keeping the vet on track and on time throughout the day
• Managing the vet’s daily schedule and appointments
• Handling client call-backs and follow-ups
• Assisting in consultations with both patients and clients
• Assisting with surgical procedures as required
• Running pathology tests and assisting with bloods
• Overseeing clinical notes and client communication utilising Heidi Health (AI Scribe)

Who You Are:

• Exceptionally organised with a proactive mindset - a natural problem solver
• Great with people and animals alike with a high level of emotional intelligence
• Comfortable working closely and confidentially with one vet
• Communicates clearly, professionally, and respectfully
• Tech-savvy and competent with clinic software (e.g. RxWorks etc.)
• Able to multitask without dropping the ball
• Brings calm and positivity to the day, even under pressure
