Greencross Vet Morayfield is looking for an experienced nurse to join their team. The role will be on a full time basis.

The Greencross Morayfield team have a loyal, longstanding client base that are like family to us. We have a supportive, knowledgeable, caring team, which includes 5 Vets, 7 Nurses, 1 Receptionist and a Practice Manager. We have lots of support to offer you and are a big friendly team who all enjoy a good laugh!

Our clinic offers a wide range of services and equipment; ultrasound, xray, dental xray, smartflow, RxWorks, just to name a few. 

We are looking for a dedicated Cert IV qualified nurse who is reliable, confident, enthusiastic and functions well in a fast-paced environment. We need someone excellent with communication that will fit in with our diverse team, someone who is driven with the ability to work and show initiative, as part of a team and independently. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can start immediately. 

The role will require a range of skills and we are looking for someone who is confident on reception, in surgery, on dentals, with pathology, team based consulting, patient handling, placing IV catheters & taking blood.

Your new role:

  • Full-time 38 hours per week
  • Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
  • Performing minor procedures when required
  • Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
  • Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone

Your skills and experience:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with min. 2+ years clinical experience 
  • An extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential
  • Confidence in monitoring anaesthesia
  • A calm, friendly, team player attitude
  • Experience in team-based care advantageous
  • Ability to work well autonomously and also within a team environment
