Job Description
Job Overview:
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects and operations of the entire Store, coordinating, and ensuring effective communication among employees and customers while taking into consideration all food safety and hygiene practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Area Manager in achieving maximum sales and margin by controlling shrinkage/operating costs.
- Plan and monitor inventory management and ensure high productivity of the staff in the Store.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing Report with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
- Intervene in customer cases as needed to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Ensure availability of merchandise and services by sustaining contracts, maintaining inventories
- Ensure the implementation of additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
- Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
- Assist in marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
- Supervise final ordering decision and inventory management during special events and festive seasons.
- Monitor and exercise control and shrinkage and disposal to a minimum level and conduct occasional stock counts.
- Develop action plans to manage stock losses via stock take and partial stock take.
- Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
- Follow up on all maintenance and assets management practices.
- Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
- Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Execute spot checks on products to ensure that nearly expired items are discarded.
- Make sure all products are labelled with production and expiry dates.
- Ensure proper follow-on expiry dates.
- Make sure that the internal food safety requirements are applied based on the local regulatory and statutory bodies, and on international standards.
- Make sure that the Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Hygienic Practices adopted in the internal food safety system are followed.
- Make sure that the necessary documents and records related to food safety are filled in.
- Shall have the responsibility to report problems related to food safety to Superior.
- Shall cooperate with internal and external food safety auditors, and follow instructions given to close the findings and ensure improvement.
- Report all available and pending overstocks to the concerned parties.
- Report all wrong inventories identified by operation team to the concerned parties.
- Closely monitor and check all orders and store to store transfers
- Maintain staff by orienting, and training employees.
- Provide on-going leadership and support to the team.
- Resolve any staff issues and escalate any unresolved issue to superior.
- Ensure on-the-job training using training checklists.
- Recommend disciplinary action as needed following established policy.
- Control knowledge of procedures and ensure their strict implementation.
- Give clear responsibilities to the team.

- Between 5 and 8 years of experience in related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or any related field
