As a key member of the Information Technology Team, you will be supporting and developing mission critical applications in a Linux,  Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) environment.  Develop communication channels with users in multiple departments as you become knowledgeable with Grantek’s operational systems and relationships between tables.  Recommend and implement technologies that make sense for the environment and that you will take ownership. 

Primary Job Responsibilities: 

• Take on change requests or new projects working in a LAMP environment 
• Perform investigation of existing applications and determine best methods to modify systems to meet business needs 
• Work with senior developers to coordinate changes and meeting common framework requirements 
• Utilize solid coding methods including testing and documentation to produce highly reliable and maintainable applications 
• Contribute to the documentation of the business processes and functions 
• Contribute to the team in both technical and analytical aspects by sharing and adopting best practices 
• Having fun and being challenged 

Technical Skills Required (this position requires 2 to 5 years’ experience): 

• Full Stack PHP programming in a LAMP environment 
• MySQL CRUD activities via Doctrine Framework and SQL table activities such as view creation, joins, and table manipulation 
• A working understanding of HTML layout and design, Javascript and CSS 
• SVN or other code repository management experience 
• Ability to work in a Linux command line environment 
• Successful or upcoming completion of Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Technical program relating to programming.  
• Proven relevant experience successfully working in a PHP programming role and accessing data via SQL 
• Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
• Highly organized and able to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and efficiently 
• Flexible and adaptable with a positive “can-do” attitude who gets excited about taking on new challenges
