Job Description

SUMMARY:

Maintain a clean, safe and inviting environment for the guests at Granby Ranch. Facilities personnel help to create and maintain a resort atmosphere where our guests feel comfortable and safe, enticing them to return to Granby Ranch again and again.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs requests for common facility janitorial and cleaning, daily.
  • Completes daily cleaning and trash removal tasks in common areas, restrooms, member pool facility, member alpine club, real estate sales office, and other areas as requested.
  • Monitors the garbage dumpster and recycle bins at the base lodge and reports to supervisor for removal, regularly.
  • Maintains cleanliness of inside and outside trash receptacles regularly.
  • Maintains cleanliness of restrooms and proper stocking of the supplies in all buildings, daily.  This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning and scrubbing of sinks, toilets, garbage cans, stainless doors and entry ways, tile floors, soap dispensers, mirrors, towel dispensers, and baby changing stations.
  • Maintains cleanliness of floors, carpet and time in all buildings daily.  This includes, but is not limited to, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.  It may also include carpet cleaning when necessary.
  • Maintains cleanliness of windows and glass surfaces in all buildings.
  • Maintains cleanliness of furniture, and light fixtures in all buildings, including dusting and wiping off daily. 
  • Maintains and cleans the employee break room and locker room, including employee restrooms.

               

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with snow removal, occasionally, for decks, front steps, concrete pads, all entrances to buildings, dumpster area behind base lodge, fire hydrants, parking areas at administration building, member club and sales center.
  • Assists with special events staff in preparing for events, set up of room, moving furniture as necessary, cleaning and preparing the room for the event, as needed.
  • Ensures that all cleaning supplies are maintained at proper levels and report needs to manager for ordering.
  • Maintains constant attention to detail to ensure guests and employees have a safe, comfortable experience.
  • Opens the building, member club and pool, or closes and ensures security of the base lodge at night, occasionally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
    • Ability to interact with the public and co-workers in positive manner
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Exceptional cleaning abilities and skills
    • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Education or Formal Training:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent is desired
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of one year experience in janitorial is preferred.
  • Working Environment:
    • Primarily indoor work with common outdoor snow removal and travel from one building to another, in a mountain environment with variable weather conditions.
    • Roughly 8 hour shift, five days per week.
    • Weekends and flexible schedule will be available.
    • Lunch break is required and must punch in and out for that break.  Employee break room available for lunch break, if desired. 
  • Physical Activities:
    • Heavy lifting up to 50lbs
    • Shoveling, sweeping
    • Wiping, scrubbing, pushing, pulling
