Get to Know the Role

The Product Manager (Business Applications) will own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for rationalising and replacing GTS-managed SaaS applications. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of technology, procurement, and business operations. The PM will partner with GTS teams and business stakeholders to transition Grab off legacy or costly third-party SaaS tools onto superior alternatives: internally built platforms, open-source solutions, or renegotiated vendor contracts.

This will report to Head of Business Integration and be based onsite at our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

1. SaaS Portfolio Discovery and Assessment

  • Maintain and continuously update a comprehensive inventory of all GTS-owned SaaS tools, including usage data, contract terms, renewal dates, cost, and business criticality.
  • Conduct structured discovery with business owners and users to map tool-to-workflow dependencies and identify redundancies.
  • Assess each tool against a replacement framework covering: cost, capability fit, build-vs-buy feasibility, internal alternatives and strategic alignment.
  • Prioritise the replacement roadmap based on contract renewal windows, cost impact, and migration complexity.

2. Replacement Strategy and Solution Design

  • Define replacement options for each prioritised tool: internal build (GTS-owned), licensed alternative, open-source, or capability consolidation into an existing platform.
  • Author product briefs for replacement initiatives, including solution design and requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering to evaluate build feasibility for internal alternatives, scoping MVPs and phased delivery plans.

3. Product Delivery and Migration Execution

  • Own the product roadmap for all active Business Applications workstreams.
  • Write clear requirements (PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria) for any internal build workstreams and manage delivery with engineering teams.
  • Plan and coordinate user migrations: stakeholder communications, training, cutover timelines, and rollback contingencies.
  • Track adoption of replacement tools post-migration and iterate based on user feedback to drive full decommission of legacy SaaS.

4. Stakeholder Management and Governance

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business owners and System teams on all SaaS replacement decisions.
  • Present programme status, business cases, and investment decisions to GTS leadership and relevant Exco stakeholders.
  • Ensure all replacements comply with Grab's security, data governance, and procurement policies.
  • Maintain a programme tracker with progress, cost savings realised, and risks, reported on a monthly cadence to GTS leadership.

5. Vendor and Procurement Coordination

  • Work with GTS Procurement to manage contract renewals, terminations, and renegotiations for tools on the replacement roadmap.
  • Coordinate vendor evaluations (RFPs, POCs) for external replacement candidates, in partnership with technical and business evaluators.
  • Track and report on cost avoidance and savings unlocked through the SaaS rationalisation programme.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with demonstrable ownership of enterprise tooling, internal platforms, or SaaS consolidation program.
  • Experience managing cross-functional migrations involving IT, Finance, Legal, and end users.
  • Solid understanding of the enterprise SaaS landscape (IT Service Management, productivity, workflow automation, analytics, communication tools).

Good to have

  • Exposure to procurement and vendor management processes.
  • Experience with build-vs-buy decision frameworks for enterprise tooling.
