Job Description
Our team improves safety across Grab's services
The Singapore Platform Safety team develops and supports programmes that improve safety across Grab's mobility and delivery services. We work with operations, product and support teams, driver-partners, delivery-partners, government agencies and community organisations.
The critical tasks you will perform
You will report to the Head of Platform Safety, Singapore. Your responsibilities combine data analysis, operational assurance, programme delivery, public liaison and incident management.
- Combine safety incident data, operational signals and user feedback to identify risks, test hypotheses and recommend priorities and interventions.
- Review safety processes, case classification and reporting, then use the findings to strengthen standards, procedures and risk controls.
- Manage assigned safety programmes from planning through implementation. Define intended outcomes, manage timelines, budgets, vendors, dependencies, risks and trade-offs, and adjust the approach based on evidence and feedback.
- Develop safety communications, educational materials, workshops and training for consumers, driver-partners and delivery-partners.
- Act as a public liaison for government agencies, law enforcement bodies, industry associations and community organisations. Coordinate official requests with Legal, Privacy and relevant internal teams, ensuring information is handled accurately, securely and in line with applicable requirements.
- Support responses to safety incidents and crisis situations. Bring together teams with different priorities, guide decisions and capture lessons that improve future readiness.
Qualifications
Your experience will combine analysis and execution
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in operations, risk management, public policy, business, communications or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant experience in platform operations, safety, risk management, programme management, public policy or a related area, including independently managing complex workstreams.
- Experience managing projects from planning through implementation, including dependencies, trade-offs, budgets, vendors and partner coordination.
- Experience in strategic insights or data analytics, including synthesising information from multiple sources, testing assumptions and translating findings into clear recommendations.
- Experience developing processes, standards or assurance checks and turning lessons into repeatable improvements that others can apply.
Relevant sector experience is useful
- Engaging government agencies, law enforcement bodies, regulators, industry associations or community organisations, including coordinating official information requests.
- Working in Singapore's transport, delivery, platform-work or public-safety environment.
- Developing public-facing communications, training or engagement programmes.
- Supporting risk assessments, audits, workplace safety, incident management or crisis response.
- Using data visualisation, dashboarding or analytical tools.
