Get to Know the Team

The Singapore Operations team oversees, shapes, and grows Grab's business in Singapore. We contribute to Grab's vision by developing strategies and operational capabilities that create meaningful value for our community.

Within this team, the Merchant Operations team represents the voice of our merchant-partners. We partner closely with business verticals including GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabPay, DineOut, alongside Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal and Regional teams to design scalable operating models and deliver seamless merchant experiences.

Our objective is to bridge business strategy and operational execution—enabling successful product launches, improving operational efficiency and supporting Singapore's commercial growth.

 

Get to Know the Role

As a Business Projects Associate, you will be the operational partner to one or more business verticals, translating commercial strategy into scalable operations including merchant activation, payments, support.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch and hypercare, working with Business, Product, Finance, Engineering and Regional teams to design operating models, define processes and implement solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous business problems, driving alignment across stakeholders and building scalable operational solutions that support new products, services and business models. You will report to the Lead of Business Projects.

 

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Partner with business stakeholders to operationalise strategic projects across existing and emerging business verticals
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of country projects, from problem definition and solution design through implementation, launch and post-launch optimisation
  • Translate business requirements into operational processes, policies and system enhancements by collaborating with Product, Engineering and Regional Operations teams
  • Drive operational readiness for new products and commercial initiatives, ensuring key operational components—including merchant onboarding, payments (commissions, billing, payouts, incentives), merchant communications, training and support—are fully established before launch.
  • Design and continuously improve scalable operating models, business processes and support workflows that enable sustainable business growth
  • Analyse operational and business performance to identify opportunities for automation, cost optimisation, process improvements and enhanced merchant experience
  • Develop business cases and present data-driven recommendations that balance commercial objectives, operational feasibility and customer experience
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders and proactively identify delivery risks to ensure initiatives are executed successfully and sustainably

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program management, business operations or a similar role within a constantly evolving environment
  • Project management skills with strong capability in managing multiple concurrent initiatives simultaneously and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Logical and structured issue resolution skills, with the ability to synthesise data into actionable recommendations
  • Comfortable navigating uncertainty and independently driving initiatives With high independence
  • Proven ability to relay business objectives clearly and manage stakeholders effectively, with the ability to align diverse teams around a common objective
  • Demonstrated ownership and a bias towards execution, inspired to create measurable business impact
  • Proficiency in SQL is an advantage
