Job Description
As a Senior Engineering Manager in Payment Acquiring Experience function, you will lead the delivery, and operation of mission-critical systems. These systems move money for millions of customers and merchants every day. Reliability, security, compliance, and speed are non-negotiable in these systems.
You will lead teams of senior engineers, partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, and other teams, and shape the long-term technical strategy for our payments stack. You will set the bar for engineering excellence, grow leaders, and promote a culture of ownership, expertise, and continuous improvement.
This role is for someone who excels at the intersection of deep technical leadership, partner and people management — and who is energised by building world-class systems at scale.
You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager who heads the Payment Acquiring Experience vertical and work onsite at our office in Bangalore, India.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of payments domain expertise with experience building and operating large-scale payment acquiring platforms.
- Experience with the payments value chain – familiarity with payment networks, settlement and reconciliation, fraud prevention, KYC/AML, risk management, and regional regulatory landscapes in Southeast Asia.
- Hands-on experience with modern payment technology stacks – including backend architectures (microservices, GoLang, AWS), mobile payment integrations, tokenization, encryption, and real-time transaction processing.
- Experience building resilient, high-availability systems that can handle high transaction volumes with zero downtime in mission-critical environments.
- Product partnership skills – able to co-create roadmaps with product and business teams, aligning technical investments with evolving market opportunities and customer needs.
- Operational and compliance excellence with an ability to implement best practices in observability, service level agreements, security, data governance, and regulatory reporting.
