Job Description

Get to Know the Team

GrabMart is Grab's on-demand daily essentials and grocery delivery service. We bring products from various stores to our customers' doorsteps. As part of Grab's ecosystem, we focus on speed, convenience, and reliability for millions of customers across Indonesia.

Get to Know the Role

You will lead the end-to-end planning processes for GrabMart Indonesia. You will build statistical forecasting models to predict demand for product categories, manage inventory levels across our dark stores and partner network, and ensure supply availability while minimizing waste and operational costs. This role supports scaling GrabMart in Indonesia.

This role reports to the Head of Supply Chain and will be fully onsite at our South Quarter office in Jakarta.

The Critical Tasks You will Perform

  • You will build and maintain statistical forecasting models for product categories and regions within GrabMart Indonesia, incorporating market intelligence and promotional plans.
  • You will lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, facilitating alignment between Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams on demand and capacity plans.
  • You will translate demand forecasts into supply plans and purchase orders, working with sourcing teams to account for capacity constraints and lead times.
  • You will set inventory policies including safety stock levels and reorder points to maintain target service levels while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.
  • You will monitor inventory health across dark stores and warehouses, identifying stock-out risks and excess inventory situations for resolution.
  • You will analyze forecast accuracy metrics to identify root causes of variance and implement corrective actions to improve planning performance.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You will Need

  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management within e-commerce, retail, or FMCG sectors. You will apply this background to manage GrabMart Indonesia's planning operations and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience building statistical forecasting models (such as time-series analysis, regression, or causal methods) for product categories. You will use these models to predict demand across geographies and product types.
  • Experience facilitating Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes with commercial and operations stakeholders. You will lead monthly planning cycles to align teams on consensus forecasts.
  • Experience converting demand forecasts into supply plans and purchase orders within planning systems or ERP platforms. You will create feasible plans that respect supplier capacity and lead time constraints.
  • Experience calculating safety stock parameters and reorder points based on demand variability and service level targets. You will set these parameters to balance product availability against inventory carrying costs.
  • Experience monitoring inventory health across multiple fulfillment nodes (such as warehouses or dark stores) to identify stock-out or excess risks. You will track inventory metrics to ensure operational readiness.
  • Experience measuring forecast accuracy using metrics (such as MAPE, RMSE, or bias) and implementing improvement actions. You will use these measurements to refine forecasting processes.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English. You will use Bahasa Indonesia to coordinate with local store operations and suppliers in Indonesia, and English to collaborate with regional supply chain teams and document planning processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. You will apply supply chain principles and analytical methods to build forecasting models and optimize inventory policies.
