Job Description

Get to Know the Team

Join the GTS Agentic Foundations team at Grab, a group dedicated to driving Grab's internal AI transformation. We develop Valet, Grab's internal AI assistant platform that empowers Grabbers to work faster and smarter. Our mission is to create a seamless, intuitive chat-based interface that connects to Grab's complex internal systems. We operate like a fast-paced startup within Grab.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a design-minded intern to step into the world of Product Management. We don't require prior Product Management experience; our team will guide you in agile execution, Jira management, and product strategy aspects of the job. What you do need is a deep empathy for the user and an eye for design. You will report to the Lead Business & Product Architect and you will help shape how Valet looks, feels, and operates. You will bridge the gap between user needs and engineering execution.

Note: This internship requires a minimum commitment of 6 months. You will be based onsite in the One North office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will map out clear user journeys and flowcharts to identify friction points within the Valet chat interface.
  • You will translate ambiguous ideas into simple, clear wireframes and prototypes (using tools like Figma) to align the engineering team on what needs to be built.
  • You will conduct informal user research by observing how fellow Grabbers use Valet, identifying what confuses them, and proposing design solutions.
  • You will learn to break down your design concepts into actionable "user stories" and requirements for our engineers to execute.
  • You will actively participate in team discussions, asking "why" and ensuring that the user's experience is always the top priority in our technical decisions.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Design, Business Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field that blends business, technology, and user experience.
  • You have hands-on experience using Figma (or similar design tools) to sketch, wireframe, and prototype user interfaces.
  • You have a collection of assignments, personal projects, or case studies that demonstrate how you approach user problems visually.
  • You can clearly explain the reasoning behind your design choices to others, focusing on why a specific layout or flow makes life easier for the user.
  • You have a natural curiosity for AI tools and emerging technologies, and are excited to learn how to design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for AI products.
