Get to Know the Role
We are hiring a Senior Technology Programs Engineer to design and build the internal systems, tooling, and automation that power program execution across Grab Tech. This role will report to the Head of Technical Program Management, PMO and Governance.
This role sits within the TPM organization but operates as an engineer first, focused on building scalable execution infrastructure rather than managing programs directly.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Build Execution Tooling
- Design and develop AI-first internal tools that improve visibility into delivery, dependencies, risks, and milestones
- Integrate data across systems (e.g., Jira, Git, CI/CD, dashboards, documentation platforms)
- Automate recurring reporting workflows and eliminate manual reporting
Instrument Program Health & Delivery Metrics
- Define and implement standardized delivery metrics (cycle time, throughput, defect rates, milestone adherence, etc.)
- Build dashboards and lightweight data pipelines to enable near real-time program insights
- Partner with TPMs and engineering leaders to operationalize these insights
Encode Best Practices into Systems
- Translate program management frameworks into scalable workflows and templates
- Reduce manual coordination overhead by embedding process into tooling
Enable the TPM Organization
- Equip TPMs with high-leverage tools that improve consistency and transparency
- Identify repetitive operational pain points and systematically automate them
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience leading or contributing to complex cross-functional programs
- Experience building scalable internal tools, automation systems, or workflow platforms
- Experience integrating APIs across enterprise systems
- Comfortable working with data, metrics, and dashboards
- Experience in engineering productivity, DevOps, or platform teams
- Experience defining and operationalizing delivery metrics
- Experience building workflow automation at scale
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-based tooling for reporting or knowledge workflows
