Job Description
Get to Know the Team
The Group Marketplace team supports country teams in managing driver supply, pricing, marketplace strategy, product rollouts, and special projects. We often work with large datasets, deriving insights to create actionable solutions. There is minimal bureaucracy, allowing a quick turnaround from insights to decisions and execution.
Get to Know the Role
You will lead and strategize how our Deliveries Marketplace operates as efficiently as possible - making sure that you serve all customers 100% of the time and serve them at the fastest time possible with the lowest cost. You will be in charge of understanding the country's local operations and propose and execute plans to improve our marketplace.
You will report to our Senior Manager, Deliveries Strategy and be based onsite at our Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will manage pricing strategies to drive revenue, growth, and cost optimization for the Malaysia Deliveries business.
- You will design and iterate delivery-partner incentives to optimize acquisition and retention.
- You will develop and implement strategies to enhance delivery speed, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- You will manage fulfillment-related functions like batching and allocation to increase efficiency and service quality.
- You will collaborate with product managers to influence product design and facilitate feature rollouts, focusing on configuration settings.
- You will work with business unit leads to align business strategy with marketplace strategy.
- You will analyze metrics to pinpoint areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Minimum 4 years of ecommerce, management consulting background
- Minimum 2 years of data analytics and visualization/ start up/ tech background
- Technical experience including using SQL, R or Python
- Able to bridge, connect and maintain relationship with different local operations team
- Able to make key business decisions or provide solid recommendations based on data & analytical thinking
- You can collaborate with department leads to translate business strategy into marketplace strategy.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and lead projects
