Job Description

GrabMart, a leading online delivery service, is seeking a dynamic Merchant Acquisition & Sales Operations Associate to join our team in Bangkok. In this role, you will be driving end-to-end GrabMart's merchant acquisition while optimizing merchant operations to ensure scalable growth.

Strategic Acquisition Strategy & Execution

  • Identify strategic merchant gaps and categories needed to enhance GrabMart's supply coverage and quality to align with vertical growth targets.
  • Manage the end-to-end retail acquisition, from identifying prospects to successful contract signage.

Sales & Partnership Negotiation:

  • Deliver clear, confident presentations that persuade merchants to partner with GrabMart.
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms, with a focus on long-term partnership growth and sustainable profitability for both parties.
  • Develop customized partnership proposals that address the unique needs and goals of each merchant.

Acquisition Optimization & Operations:

  • Streamline and standardize the onboarding structure and processes to ensure a high-quality, efficient, and scalable activation pipeline across diverse merchant categories.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure new merchants are fully activated and transition smoothly from acquisition to day-to-day management.
  • Implement and maintain a robust tracking system for merchant acquisition metrics and KPIs.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

  • Work closely with related stakeholders to align acquisition efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives to enhance overall merchant experience on the GrabMart platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition
  • Preferably strong understanding of Quick commerce or E-commerce landscape, O2O (offline-to online) or retail tech industry
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both Thai and English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a proven ability to analyze data to generate insights, track performance
    • Proficiency in SQL or similar database query language is a plus
  • Experience in e-commerce or food delivery industry preferred
  • Knowledge of digital marketplaces and online grocery delivery services a plus
