Job Description

Get to know the Team

GrabRentals (GR) aims to provide sustainable access to high quality vehicles for our hirer-partners. Providing them income opportunities within the Grab platform without the need to personally own a vehicle. GR also plays a crucial role in securing vehicular supply for the Grab marketplace.

The team works closely with internal GR stakeholders in making sure various processes are set up and carried out accurately and efficiently. The team is also responsible for the performance of external providers who carry out part operational tasks.

Get to Know the Role

You will be the go-to person for turning our fleet and rental data into practical insights and actions across our PHC, Taxi and AV businesses. You will work with data from rental agreements, arrears, telematics and maintenance to uncover patterns, explain performance, and support decisions that improve utilisation, reduce bad debt and enhance safety. You'll also design and track experiments (such as policy or incentive A/B tests) and help translate the results into changes in how we operate and structure our products.

You are analytical, structured and comfortable working with large, messy datasets, but is equally strong at explaining findings in clear, simple language to non-technical stakeholders. If you are passionate about using data to solve real operational problems and shape how a fleet business runs, this role will give you the chance to make a visible, measurable difference.

You will report to the Manager, Fleet Supply & Operations, in our One North office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Fleet & Rental Performance Analysis
  • Analyse data from rental agreements, utilisation, arrears and bad debts across PHC, Taxi and AV to identify key drivers of yield, churn, bad debt and write-offs, and highlight improvement opportunities.
  • Risk, Arrears & Collections Analytics
  • Deep-dive arrears and bad debt patterns by driver segment, contract type, vehicle class and tenure; develop segmentation, early-warning triggers and scorecards to support Collections and policy refinement.
  • Telematics & Maintenance Insights
  • Use telematics (GPS, events) and maintenance data to identify safety, misuse and vehicle health patterns; propose data-driven actions to reduce incidents, downtime and misuse.
  • Experimentation & A/B Testing
  • Design, track and evaluate A/B tests and pilots (e.g. incentives, policy changes, product changes) to determine what works, quantify impact, and recommend scale-up / rollback decisions.
  • Dashboards, Monitoring & Model Refresh
  • Build and maintain key dashboards and monitoring views for fleet, rental, arrears and telematics KPIs; periodically review and refine metrics, rules and simple predictive models as new data comes in.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Recommendations
  • Work with business teams (PHC, Taxi, AV), Rental Ops, Driver Management, Insurance and Maintenance to gather questions, translate them into analytical work, and present clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Policy, Product and Strategy Support
  • Support the manager in reviewing policy thinking and strategy by providing data-driven inputs on proposed changes (e.g. contract rules, driver eligibility criteria, product tweaks), and tracking outcomes after implementation.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead end-to-end analytics projects (from scoping to implementation), coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, manage timelines and action items, and ensure that agreed data-driven recommendations are executed and their impact measured.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Degree holder in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related field.
  • You have at least 3+ years of relevant experience in analytics, business analysis, or operations / fleet-related roles.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills, with working knowledge of SQL and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik).
  • Experience building dashboards and recurring reports to support decision-making.
  • Working knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Experience in project management, including managing analytics or improvement initiatives end-to-end.
  • Experience supporting change management, such as helping teams adopt new reports, policies or processes based on data.
