- The Southern team is dedicated to fostering sustainable business growth and creating meaningful impact. As part of the Southern Region Commercial team, you will collaborate with other departments and work together to achieve shared goals. We are looking for a growth expert who can lead a team and work cross-departmentally to drive successful outcomes.
Get to Know the Role
- Take full ownership of identifying, refining, and implementing business growth programs, working with growth teams to improve performance, refine operations, and lead regional expansion, while using market insights and data-driven strategies to achieve sustainable and impactful growth.
- You will report into the Head of Southern Region and be based in Johor Bahru, working onsite.
The day-to-day activities:
- Growth Strategy: You will develop and implement tailored strategies for managing the lifecycle and growth of different merchant segments in the Southern region.
- Channel development: You will explore and establish new channels to acquire and manage new merchants within the Southern region.
- Pipeline Management: You will oversee the merchant acquisition pipeline and ensure development aligns with the regional strategic goals.
- Leading: You will lead the sales team, focusing on designing incentive structures and overseeing payout processes.
- Be Ahead of the curve: You will stay informed about the industry situation along with competitor activity as part of feedback and learning.
- Budget Management: You will oversee the budget for the region, ensuring allocation and spending achieve required effectiveness and achieving regional targets.
- Skill Development: You will organize regular training and workshops for the sales team to enhance their know of products, services, and market trends.

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Must be locally based in Johor Bahru
- Bachelor's Degree (any)
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Years of experience: at least 5 years and above (Previous sales team leader experience is a necessary)
- Visionary, stay up to date with industry trends, and can respond to market changes quickly
- A team player – you love talking to people and getting them excited
