Get to Know the Role
The People Operations Business Partner (Pops BP) plays a strategic role in aligning business objectives with key stakeholders and employees in designated departments. You will provide people expertise and counsel to management, covering a full range of HR disciplines including organisational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, career development, compensation, and workforce planning. Reporting directly to the Country Head of People Operations, this is an individual contributor role based on-site in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Strategic Business Partnering:
- You will connect challenges to People solutions, swiftly addressing risks and opportunities with strategic insight.
- You will provide thought leadership and act as an independent consultant to the business, influencing strategic decisions.
- You will create and implement People programmes, policies, and initiatives in partnership with centres of excellence (COEs), ensuring alignment with organisational values and goals.
- You will support managers in employee relations, performance management, rewards, retention, and talent development, enhancing skills and supporting professional growth.
- You will foster a culture of inclusion, quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance, acting as a catalyst for change initiatives.
Technology and AI Leadership:
- You will embrace and promote the philosophy that every Grabber is a technologist, encouraging innovation and technology adoption across all levels.
- You will lead initiatives that integrate AI and technology into HR processes, driving efficiency and enhancing employee experience.
- You will use generative AI tools to analyse data, create ideas, draft communications, and automate repetitive tasks, enhancing productivity while maintaining a human touch in People business partnering.
- You will champion AI-driven solutions, positioning Grab as a leader in HR innovation, and explore AI technologies to enhance decision-making and strategic planning.
Workforce Planning and Data Analytics:
- You will collaborate with business leaders to guide workforce planning and develop resource forecasts, aligning organisational and budgetary goals.
- You will identify skill gaps and implement training and development initiatives, overseeing talent deployment and anticipating future requirements.
- You will use HR data and analytics to identify trends, assess organisational health, and make data-driven recommendations, establishing People metrics to demonstrate added value.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Embody the principles of Heart, Hunger, Honour, and Humility that define a Grabber.
- 10 or more years of experience, with at least 6 years in human resource business partnering in industries such as FinTech, hyper-growth companies, or banking and finance.
- Great at talking to others and building trust and credibility across all levels.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems, Power BI, GSuite applications, and generative AI tools.
- Comfortable working alone or with a team, and able to handle change and uncertainty with ease.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations in the markets we operate in.
- Fluency and knowledge of the cultural landscape in Southeast Asia/Asian markets are advantageous.
- Leadership and strategic thinking skills, with experience leading digital transformation or AI adoption in HR processes.
