Get to Know the Team

GrabRentals (GR) aims to provide sustainable access to high quality PHV and Taxi vehicles for our hirer-partners. Providing them income opportunities within the Grab platform without the need to personally own a vehicle. GR also plays a crucial role in securing vehicular supply for the Grab marketplace.

Get to Know the Role 

In this position, you will play a vital role within the Fleet Team which supports the PHV business, GrabCab business and other special projects. Your duties will encompass supporting the planning process, conducting research, and assisting in the execution of fleet operations for GrabRentals Singapore. The ideal candidate should have strong critical thinking abilities and excellent interpersonal skills, which will aid the Head of Fleet in overseeing, planning, and executing operational activities. You will also be tasked with organizing assignments, identifying challenges, developing solutions, and presenting these to leadership.

This role will report to the Head, Fleet, reporting onsite to Singapore Grab office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise in the mobility domain, preferably in the Taxi / autonomous sector on electrification, network infrastructure and predictive maintenance.

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify root causes of operational issues, using insights from field operations and data to collaborate with operation teams, implement solutions, and drive performance improvements.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across various operational areas, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards, and maintaining their relevance and proper communication across all teams.

  • Present overall solution, findings and formulate data-driven recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within GR and other stakeholders within Grab Singapore to develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimise fleet processes, improve efficiency, and achieve cost savings

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Degree / Diploma holders (preferably in engineering, economics, supply chain or business administration)

  • Maintain, drive, supervise and implement robust technical standards, systems and processes

  • Ability to build relationships with cross functional stakeholders and drive shared outcomes

  • Proven ability to solve problems and to influence decision making.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and deal effectively with complex, changing and ambiguous landscapes and adhere to the highest ethical standards.
