We are a proactive regulatory compliance team at Grab Financial Group, focused on preventing and mitigating regulatory risks while fostering a culture of compliance. As a fast-growing FinTech in Southeast Asia, we prioritize collaboration with business teams to achieve commercial goals without compromising our role as the second line of defense. Our team assesses regulatory risks, monitors compliance with new regulations, develops controls and policies, conducts testing, and manages responses to regulatory inquiries. We work with teams to implement technology-driven compliance solutions and engage with regional regulators and government partners.
Get to know the Role:
You role as the Regulatory Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the adherence to regulatory frameworks for the financial businesses in the Philippines. You will design and implement a compliance program, providing advice to departments, monitoring compliance, and managing regulatory relationships.
This is an onsite role in our Ortigas office and is reporting to the Head Of Compliance based in the Regional team in Singapore.
The Critical Tasks You will Perform:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with applicable local regulations, including but not limited to lending services regulations, anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and data protection laws.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure our compliance posture.
- Conduct regular reviews of the lending compliance framework to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Seek understanding of policy and processes with regional team for streamlined operations.
Qualifications
The must-haves:
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in regulatory compliance / legal / internal audit in a financial institution. Qualified candidates with experience working for a financial regulator will be prioritized for assessment;
- Constructive attitude and a demonstrated willingness to "get hands dirty" to effectively solve problems;
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrated hunger to grow and flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and fast-moving business environment;
