Come join Grab ACE team, we're dedicated to building the most trusted and loved platform for all things food in Southeast Asia. You will be reporting to Senior Software Engineering Manager. We are always aiming to improve our delivery and dine in platforms, which requires the help of first-class engineers. Our scale of production is huge, handling tens of millions of bookings every day. When you launch a new code, hundreds of millions of people will see what you are doing in a very short time.

This is a hybrid role and the office is based in Petaling Jaya.

The Day-to-Day Activities

As an Android engineer, you are expected to work on both product development and engineering improvements.

• You will work with the product and design team to understand requirements, provide product feedback, own and implement the product from start to finish.
• You will write code that is reusable, scalable and testable. Make sure products are delivered on time and with high quality.
• You will collaborate with QAs to make sure our app releases are always worthy of five star ratings.
• You will review code from other team members, provide constructive feedback and aim to raise the engineering bar.
• You will be responsible and responsive during on-call duty. Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
• You will provide technical guidance, mentorship and knowledge sharing to peers.

The Must-Haves

• You have 5+ years of android application development experience with experience in Java and Kotlin
• You understanding the Android system and programming paradigm including OOP, TDD, reactive patterns and dependency injection
• You have working knowledge of several architectural approaches including clean architecture, MVVM and VIPER
• You have experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design, unit testing and UI testing techniques
• You have experience maintaining applications, crash analytics, remote debugging and continuous integration
• You have rich experience in performance tuning and good modular programming thinking
• You have experience developing apps with Flutter is a bonus
