Get to know our Team

Chroma is a front-end team responsible for developing internal web portals and building reusable UI components for sharing with other FE teams. We are a group of passionate hybrid working, engineers who love to create beautiful and functional web applications that enhance the productivity and efficiency of Grab employees. We also maintain and do enhancement for web-kit tool that helps to quickly set up a new react portal including recommend dependencies, CI/CD, monitoring tools

Get to know the Role

As a Front-End Engineer in the Chroma team, you will report to the Engineering Manager and work on multiple internal web portals and UI components that are used across Grab. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from design to deployment, ensuring high-quality code, performance and contribute to the web-kit tool, which is an important enabler for rapid web development at Grab.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will develop the front-end of Grab internal portals and reusable UI components built by the Chroma team.
• You will develop the web-kit tool that is used for building react applications at Grab.
• You will integrate the Chroma components with multiple internal portals.
• You will collect and analyze user feedback, identifying areas for improvement and prioritizing feature development accordingly.
• You will implement best practices for web development, ensuring high-quality code and observing performance, security, and accessibility standards.
• You will maintain documentation of portal design and features,
• You will assess new technologies and techniques to enhance the engineering capabilities of the team.
• You will identify issues, implement fixes, and ensure portal stability and performance.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Minimum 2 years of experience in frontend frameworks such as ReactJS (preferred), AntD, Micro Frontends, and Webpack.
• Experience in English communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners.
• Experience with web development and Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge new technologies.
