The People Operations (Pops) team strives to improve human resources the same way that Grab has revolutionised transportation and financial inclusion in Southeast Asia. We serve to find, grow, and keep the remarkable assemblage of talent who are our Grabbers.
Get to Know the Role
The People Operations Business Partner (Pops BP) aligns business objectives with key stakeholders and employees in designated departments. You will provide People expertise and counsel to management covering a full range of HR disciplines including organizational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, career development, compensation, and workforce planning. You will report to the Country Head of People Operations and this is an individual contributor role, and based onsite in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Business Partnering:
- You will connect our challenges to People solutions, addressing risks and opportunities swiftly.
- You will provide thought leadership on people matters and perform the role of an independent internal people consultant to the business.
- You will create People programs, policies, and initiatives in partnership with centres of excellence (COEs), ensuring alignment with organisational values and goals.
- You will provide support to managers in employee relations, performance management, rewards, retention, and talent development.
- You will coach managers and teams to increase performance, enhance skills, and support their professional growth, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
Culture and Change Management:
- You will foster a culture emphasizing inclusion, quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance.
- You will be a catalyst for change initiatives, aligning priorities and enabling collaborative relationships.
- You will guide and help implement organisational restructuring, driving alignment and adoption across teams, processes, and systems.
Workforce Planning and Development:
- You will collaborate with business leaders to guide the workforce planning process and develop resource forecasts, ensuring agreement on long-term organisational goals and budgetary goals.
- You will identify skill gaps, recommend and implement appropriate training and development initiatives.
- You will oversee talent deployment, assess needs, and anticipate future requirements.
Data and Metrics:
- You will use HR data and analytics to identify trends, assess organizational health, and make data-driven recommendations.
- You will establish and communicate People metrics to demonstrate added value and lead necessary changes in practices and policies.
Generative AI Tools:
- You will use generative AI tools to analyse data and feedback, create ideas, draft communications, promote consistency in policy interpretations, and automate repetitive tasks.
- You will enhance productivity through AI-driven solutions while maintaining a human touch in People business partnering.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Embody the principles of Heart, Hunger, Honour, and Humility that define a Grabber.
- 8 or more years of experience, with at least 5 years in human resource business partnering in industries such as FinTech, hyper-growth companies, or banking and finance.
- Great at talking to others and building trust and credibility across all levels.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems, Power BI, GSuite applications, and generative AI tools.
- Comfortable working alone or with a team, and able to handle change and uncertainty with ease.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations in the markets we operate in.
- Fluency and knowledge of the cultural landscape in Southeast Asia/Asian markets are advantageous.
