Get to Know the Team

The GrabPay Products team manages the P&L and strategy for all Grab issued payment products across the region namely - GrabPay wallet, OVO and Grab Paylater (BNPL). These products combined power more than US$ 1Bn of TPV across the region, BNPL specifically in one of the core growth bets for GrabFin.

Get to Know the Role 

You will report to the Regional Head of GrabPay Products, and be part of the GrabPay Regional Commercial Team in a hybrid work arrangement. You will drive business growth by setting and monitoring business health metrics across the region and identifying opportunities for GrabPay's growth. You will serve as an oracle for payment insights, guiding the team through strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of results. As a core member of the team, the role will allow for learning opportunities about payments (credit and non credit) and growth opportunities.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Develop an understanding of what drives growth and efficiency for payment business, identify key metrics that align with business drivers, set team goals, and track progress. Prepare weekly and monthly reports to monitor business health metrics.
  • Give analytical support to teams by providing a fact base, helping with issue identification, and recommending feasible solutions.
  • Scan both internal and external business environments to drive business insights and identify key growth opportunities.
  • Develop frameworks to analyse business problems, develop hypotheses, mine data, deliver recommendations, run experiments and assess impact of proposed solutions. Partner with all business stakeholders across different teams like Product, Risk, Analytics and country teams to set strategy.
  • Build business cases and financial models by developing assumptions and projections based on the macro environment, latest trends, and industry practices, to be presented to management.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • You have at least 3-5 years experience in business, strategy, analytics, or other related fields.
  • You are inquisitive, data-driven, and you make use of graphs, models, and equations to drill down into trends and arrive at conclusions.
  • You are proficient in quantitative analyses and financial modelling and projections - you enjoy absorbing large amounts of data and qualitative insights and can quickly develop a narrative that leads to recommendations and builds our understanding of the business.
  • You keep yourself up to date with market conditions in the payments industry and can identify opportunities to deliver business growth.
  • You are great at presentation especially to senior executives
  • You can write research-backed strategy documents to build a strong case for strategic initiatives
