Get to Know the Team

The Grab Driver Acquisition and Onboarding Department is responsible for recruiting and onboarding new driver and rider-partners on the platform. The team designs and manages processes to ensure a smooth application experience, setting up new drivers and riders for success. The team attract and recruit new drivers using various channels, campaigns, and avenues to build a growing rider base for Grab and MoveIt.

Get to Know the Role

You’ll be part of the team responsible for attracting, recruiting, and onboarding new drivers to the Grab/MoveIt platform. You’ll design and execute projects, find the right processes, tools, and technologies to make the work measurable and efficient, aiming to improve the acquisition and onboarding experience. 

You will program through multiple languages, think strategically, problem solve, and implement various solutions that cater to the business need for optimization. You’ll have the opportunity to standardize workflows, scale operations, and actively grow the rider-base and business of MoveIt. You will collaborate closely with on-ground ops teams, driver marketing teams, and marketplace teams for cross-functional projects. You'll work closely with operations, marketplace, marketing, training, safety, and driver communities to shape the early lifecycle journey of our drivers.

The Critical Tasks You will Perform

  1. Project Management and Documentation

    • You will support in assessing the feasibility and requirements of projects.
    • You will jointly develop project plans for design, execution, and control stages.
    • You will execute internal and external projects, including adhoc activities, through structured and collaborative approaches.
    • You will escalate and resolve roadblocks to deliver outcomes timely.
    • You will maintain thorough documentation of processes, procedures, and changes, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
    • You will develop training materials and conduct workshops on new processes and best practices.
  2. Cross-functional and Cross-vertical Collaboration

    • You will work closely with department heads, team members, and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand challenges.
    • You will support designing solutions to complex business problems.
    • You will foster cross-functional and cross-vertical collaboration on project planning, execution, and feedback loops.
    • You will understand the business needs and the design of software applications used within the company.
  3. Automation of Manual Processes

    • You will design and develop software solutions for automation and serve as a technical resource.
    • You will design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions.
    • You will determine and utilize the right software applications to optimize manual work.
    • You will manage automation software development projects and develop and maintain automation standards.
  4. Data Analytics

    • You will utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends and measure the impact of process changes.
    • You will create dashboards to measure acquisition funnel and onboarding initiatives.
    • You will analyze data to propose data-driven solutions and improvements in operations.
    • You will support analyses to enable data-driven decision-making.
  5. Process Improvement

    • You will evaluate existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and analyze performance metrics.
    • You will apply data insights to propose strategies for process enhancements, increased productivity, and improved quality of acquisition and onboarding processes.
    • You will lead and manage process improvement projects from inception to completion.
    • You will integrate measurement mechanisms for easier data management and monitoring.
    • You will promote innovative thinking and problem-solving.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You will Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in automation or data analytics.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, project management, or process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets.
  • A solid understanding of computer programming and software development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform system tests.
  • Strong leadership and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and time management.
  • Ability to work independently and meet recruitment targets.
  • Interest in staying updated with the latest technologies.
  • Knowledge of transport, cars, and the automotive and transport industry.
  • Proactive and self-starting attitude with a high degree of personal responsibility.
  • Comfort with multi-tasking on various projects.
  • Pleasant, personable manner in person, phone, and email interactions.
