Get to know the department:

Grab’s Trust and Safety (T&S) team is responsible for managing safety and quality transport, deliveries, merchant, and fraud. This team creates program plans and monitors overall risks and mitigation for all types of services. 

The T&S team escalates information and follows up on reports of Driver-Partners and merchant negligence caused by a decrease in terms of quality and safety, on top of that, reports which are anticipated to have an impact on the company's reputation. The team will foster a customer-centric, collaborative, and proactive assessment on behavioral risk, as well as assist stakeholders in understanding, assessing, and examining risks and control efficacy.

Get to know the role:

As a Trust and Safety Data Analytics Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing data product and optimizing the data pipeline, providing insightful analysis to stakeholders, and ensuring the trust, safety, and quality of Grab’s platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will develop and implement data-driven strategies that enhance user trust. This role demands exceptional analytical skills, proficiency in advanced data tools, and a deep understanding of trust and safety principles. You will be instrumental in driving and leading initiatives that safeguard our users, maintaining the highest standards of trust, safety, and quality on our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various trust and safety stakeholders as a strategic partner to plan, strategize, and enhance Grab's Trust and Safety initiatives through data-driven decision-making.

  • Act as an in-house consultant, simplifying complex terminologies into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders within the Trust and Safety domain.

  • Collect, clean, automate, and analyze large data sets from various sources to support data-driven decisions.

  • Develop and implement dashboards to monitor key Trust and Safety metrics.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making and special projects within the Trust and Safety team, particularly addressing critical issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirement:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or a related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or as a Business Analyst. Experience in Risk Analytics or within the Ride-Hailing industry is highly desirable.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, enabling effective communication with internal stakeholders.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in querying languages like SQL. Familiarity with tools such as PowerBI, Databricks, BigQuery, or IDE  is strongly preferred. Knowledge of advanced analytics languages like Python is a plus.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Possessing exceptional interpersonal skills, the ideal candidate will excel at building strong relationships with stakeholders across various divisions and delivering actionable insights to drive decision-making.

  • Mindset: A proactive self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to drive projects forward.
