The mobile engineering team at Grab is dedicated to developing high-quality applications.The integrity team protects our customers from risks and frauds when using Grab services.We are a diverse, international group of accomplished developers who prioritize quality and new ideas. We work in an Agile development environment, emphasizing collaboration and adaptability while exploring new mobile technologies.

The team's efforts are crucial for maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring a seamless KYC process for customers, which is necessary for sustaining business operations in multiple regions.

Get to know the Role

• Work with the Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to build consumer and partner facing new products, platforms and features.
• Build reusable iOS software components for the Grab platform.
• This is a hybrid role based in Malaysia.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Evaluate new mobile methodologies and technologies.​
• Monitor the performance of the live apps and improve them on both code and experience level.
• Improve by reviewing each other's code, share knowledge, tips and tricks, and generally help out - with different teams. 
• Collaborate with QA on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) and other automated and manual testing to make sure our app releases are always worthy of five star ratings.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• A bachelor's or higher degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in iOS development experience
• Up-to-date on the modern iOS programming paradigm, including the use of Swift
• Knowledge in iOS systems design and internals
• UX/UI design experience making apps work and with pixel perfect interfaces.
• You have a working knowledge of several architectural approaches, caching, data storage and security.
• CS fundamentals (with competencies in algorithms and data structures).
• You have a collaborative attitude, because ‘Your Problem Is My Problem’ (YPIMP).
