Get to know the Role:

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and developing multi-channel loyalty strategy for Grab across the country. You will own end-to-end planning, strategizing and executing marketing initiatives that cover multiple segments within Grab.

You’ll be involved across the entire spectrum of Loyalty which includes GrabUnlimited and GrabRewards Malaysia marketing activities - brand positioning, acquiring, engaging and retaining customers through both digital and traditional channels  - so your approach to marketing problems needs to be equal parts logic and magic, rigour and imagination.

To succeed in this role, you need to be a self-motivated individual who can perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You should have a clear understanding of end-to-end marketing strategies, and be able to break down complex issues into executable strategies and detailed tactics.

The day-to-day activities:

50% Loyalty Marketing Communications and Go-to-Market Campaign Lead 

  • Responsible for the end-to-end design and execution of strategic campaigns including concept ideation, media and demand planning, go-to-market strategy and budget planning. React fast to mid-campaign performance and optimise in between campaign activities.
  • Manage reporting and analysis across marketing campaigns, using data to drive better campaigns through a test and learn approach.
  • Manage key stakeholders within Marketing (i.e. PR, Digital Performance, Market Research, Agencies.) as well as Business and Operations teams (i.e Product, Legal, Finance, BD) to ensure best-in-class  consumer experience with your campaigns.

30% Lead Marketing Strategy

  • Create strategies for the Grab loyalty program, including promotions, special events, and customer segmentation to increase customer engagement and retention 

20% Curate  Marketing Insights

  • Work with our marketing analytics and consumer research teams to analyse  insights into how consumers are using our platform and translate these into opportunities for engagement. 
  • Lead brainstorming and discussion with various stakeholders (including creative, media and social media agencies) to develop memorable output that inspires consumer confidence and action.

Qualifications

The must haves:

  • E-commerce and/or loyalty marketing background preferred
  • Curious about emerging trends and disruptions across a wide spectrum of marketing thinking, tools and technologies and being able to give an informed point of view on how they could impact Grab loyalty marketing.
  • Hands-on, hardworking, hunger, heart, honour and humility: motivated by a business in its ‘building phase’ and able to thrive in an environment with a ‘start-up’ culture. Team player that is comfortable to rely on informal leadership structures.
  • Problem solving mindset - anticipate challenges and proactively propose solutions.
  • Team / project management - effective management of people and resources. Ability to cascade clarity around priorities and targets.
  • Familiar with the entire marketing mix – you have a good knowledge of how and when to leverage different marketing channels from above-the-line and below-the-line communications for brand activation. You must also have a clear understanding of how to plan an end-to-end marketing roll out for new campaigns (e.g. product launches, consumer campaigns, merchant campaigns etc.)
  • Results-oriented and data-driven: Able to make data-informed decisions for a marketing plan. Proven track record of utilizing data in forming innovative and interesting ideas that are successfully operationalized into impactful marketing campaign execution.
  • Resourceful and creative: Knack for identifying great creative marketing. You work well with creative people, knowing how they need to be briefed and managed in order to deliver the most impactful creative work.
  • Relentlessly driven and seeks challenges: Willingness to drive growth and able to embrace and tackle challenges.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint. Familiar with remote working/collaboration tools such as Google Docs, Zoom & Slack. 
  • Years of experience: 3-5 years.
