Gourmet Cuisine is a fast paced catering company located downtown Toronto.  We provide corporate & special event catering to events ranging from 10 to 5,000 guests.  

Job Description

DUTIES INCLUDE:

    • Answer all incoming phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner
    • Pre-qualify new leads and process all turnovers to the Sales team
    • Coordinate events for regular repeat clients, including confirmation of their needs, the creation and distribution of event orders, and post event follow up
    • Oversee the day to day accounting tasks such as processing and tracking invoices, closing out the fiscal week, and running reports
    • Book staff and rental items for catering events
    • Create the daily delivery schedule and distribute to the operations team
    • Coordinate hiring and on-boarding processes for hourly associates
    • Daily payroll duties
    • Provide administrative support to the sales and management team
    • Create and maintain all filing systems and back up files for records, reports, and documents
    • Participate in local networking organizations, community, and industry events as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have previous experience in catering operations
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Personable & professional presence in person, on the phone, and within emails 
  • Up to date with current personal technology and applications 
  • Must remain calm under pressure and capable of thinking on one's feet  
  • Must maintain confidentiality

Additional Information

  • Full-time, hourly position
  • Typically schedule is Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
  • Based on business demands, occasional shifts during the early morning, evenings, and weekends may be required
