Job Description

Freightliner Northwest is looking for a Body Shop technician with Painting and Prepping experience. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Prep vehicles and parts for painting using proper techniques, equipment and materials; mask vehicles for painting
  • Use good judgment to maintain a safe & organized work environment.
  • Prompt daily attendance on scheduled work days.
  • Other general shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements, Education and Experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Some body shop experience required with prepping and priming vehicles for paint.

Skills that are representative of the job: Safety-minded, good communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to work with a team.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Physical: (These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.) Working in, under, and around trucks and trailers. Ability to lift, push or pull, objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 75 pounds). Safely walk, reach, bend, climb, push, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the essential job duties. Ladder climbing. Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on concrete floors.

Environmental: Primarily indoors with some outdoor work if needed, work on heights with exposure to dust, fumes, and high noise. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Coveralls, ear and eye protection provided.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
