Job Description

The Job Coach Floater will provide supervision, on-the-job training, and coaching to individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment in an employment setting.  Responsibilities include implementing learning systems at work sites, making job modifications, and identifying assistive technology as needed.  The Job Coach will also provide job readiness instruction related to the job site by utilizing learning systems, performing job analysis, adhering to policies and procedures, and completing required paperwork on a timely basis.  The Job Coach will work with individuals to teach proper socialization skills in the workplace, assist them in implementing goals, and provide motivational strategies/techniques to help the participant development and attain their goals. The reliable and dependable applicant should possess problem solving and organizational skills, be customer/detail oriented, and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.  Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. This position provides coverage for other staff and requires flexibility in covering facility and community sites.

Qualifications

Location:  Fayette Workforce Development Center

Education:  Associates Degree in Human Services, Psychology/Rehabilitation Science, Social Services, Education/Teaching or a related field.

Experience:  2 or more years’ experience successfully working with individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment.  Will also consider a Bachelors Degree and 1 or more years’ experience as described above.
