Job Description

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania’s assessment and vocational evaluation services determine an individual’s ability and readiness to enter the job market by using academic and skill-based assessments, as well as on-site work experience in the community. The Program Specialist will provide in-house or community based support and supervision to individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment.  This will be accomplished by ensuring the individuals’ needs are met, goals are implemented, and a safe environment is maintained.  Responsibilities also include file management to maintaining compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to advocate for participants, ensuring that there are goals in place to meet their needs, their rights are adhered to and the individual is included in their vocational plan. The Program Specialist will also coordinate all team meetings.

Qualifications

Location:  40 Connellsville Street, Uniontown

Education:  Associates Degree in Human Services, Psychology/Rehabilitation Science, Social Services or a similar field.

Experience:  4 or more years’ experience successfully working with individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment.  Will also consider a Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years’ experience as stated above.
