Job Description

The Coordinator for Transition Works will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Transition Works Programs. Responsibilities include collaborating with school districts, educators, families, students and other referral sources, community organizations and business throughout Goodwill’s service territory, to ensure appropriate transition services are delivered while providing supervision to direct service staff. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of principles and practices related to transition services, youth development and special education issues. Strong and polished interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required. Creative, strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously also required. The ideal candidate must have experienced in developing and managing the hiring, training, supervising and assessing personnel. Must be highly organized and able to work well with others

Qualifications

Location: 118 52nd Street

External Hiring Range: $32,945 to $36,000/Year     Travel Required: Yes

Education: Associates Degree in Education/Teaching, Psychology/Rehabilitation Science or a Related Field. Experience:  3 or more years’ experience must be directly related to providing services to Individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or working with youth 16-22 years of age. Supervisory experience preferred. PA Special Education Certification also preferred.  Will also consider a Bachelors Degree in the fields mention here along with 1 or more years’ experience as well as a Master Degree and 0-1 years’ experience, as stated above.
