Job Description

The Community Integration Specialist will plan and organize volunteer opportunities and outings in the community, for adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities that will enhance their independence and participation in community life. The Specialist will promote positive community growth through
collaborations with community partners, networking in the community, and utilizing community resources to assist the participants. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: scheduling and transporting participants to community events, scheduling and tracking transportation, teaching proper
socialization skills for the community and providing opportunities to reinforce skills through community activities. Must have a valid Driver’s license.

External Hiring Range: $12.96 to $14.16/Hour                                                      Travel Required: Yes

Location: 118 52nd Street

Education: Associates Degree in Human Services,Psychology/Rehabilitation Science, Social Services or a related field.

Experience: 2 or more years’ experience successfully workingwith senior citizens or individuals with disabilities/barriers to employment.
