Job Description

The Goodwill Retail Operations Center is hiring! We are looking to add talented Salvage/Warehouse Associates to our team. As a Salvage/Warehouse Associate for Goodwill, you will have a chance to earn a living while supporting Goodwill's mission to help people with disabilities or disadvantages achieve their potential through work.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic Function:
Performs diverse warehouse and assembly duties within a warehouse setting. Receives daily deliveries of donated product and other contracted work. Sorts, assembles, palletizes, and wraps according to the specification of job. Loads and unloads trucks and keeps warehouse organized.

Specific Duties:*
A. Safely and effectively bale and prepare materials for shipment to Post-Retail Sales customers.
B. Emptying rolling bins and bulk boxes of miscellaneous product.
C. Receiving of miscellaneous product from Goodwill transportation department.
D. Safe operation of baling machine and forklift (each of these tasks are done only after proper and successful training has taken place).
E. Sorting donated equipment and peripherals onto pallets and into bulk boxes pursuant to the sorting and packing guidelines provided to Goodwill from the receiving vendor(s)/buyer(s).
F. Sorts, assembles, and palletizes all industrial services product according to the required specifications of the job.
G. Periodic testing of some donated equipment and peripherals as needed and as directed.
H. Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
I. Regular attendance is required.
J. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Needed:**
A. Must be able to interact positively with a variety of people.
B. Must be punctual on a daily basis.
C. Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
D. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
E. Vision corrected within normal range.
F. Ability to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
