Goodwill Home Medical Equipment, located in Ewing Township, collects, sanitizes, refurbishes, and sells gently-used, durable medical equipment and unopened medical supplies at affordable prices.

Job Description

Basic Function:

Assist the Refurbishing Supervisor and participate in repair activities with staff and volunteers. Maintain and organize parts department, shipping/receiving and ordering of parts and supplies.

Specific Duties:

A. Responsible to assist the Operations Manager and participate in repair activities
with staff and volunteers.
B. Responsible to maintain and organize parts department, shipping/receiving, and
ordering of parts and supplies.
C. Responsible to perform home pick-ups and deliveries of home medical equipment.
D. Responsible to assemble home medical equipment upon delivery at customer’s
    home.
E. Manage all scrap metals and materials and transport to recycle center.
F. Inspect and assess all donated equipment prior to refurbishing.
G. Participate in equipment diagnostics and repair of mechanical equipment.
H. Utilize internet search for diagnostic information, recalls, and operating manuals.
I. Assist in the supervision of refurbishing staff and volunteers as required.
J. Carry out quality control assurances by inspecting all refurbished home medical  
    equipment.
K. Assist the sales department with customer overflow.
L. Extract critical parts from nonfunctional equipment to be used for future repairs.
M. Act as a positive role model for trainees, staff, and customers in regards to all
aspects of professional performance.
N. Follow company policies and safety procedures.
O. Regular attendance is required.
P. Other duties as assigned (non-essential)

Skills and Abilities Needed:

A. Must be able to interact with a variety of people and motivate to highest level of productivity.
B. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
C. Must be able to stand, bend, sit and kneel for long periods of time.
D. Must possess ability to move and lift 25lbs. frequently and 50lbs. occasionally.
E. Must be detail oriented.
F. Must possess valid driver’s license with a good driving record
F. Must have the ability to work as a member of a team.
F. Flexibility to cover other areas of Goodwill when needed.
G. Ability to supervise when needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
