Job Summary:

Oversees, coordinates and performs daily services provided at the designated contractual site, and assists supervisor with the supervision of employees’ daily duties.

  • Coordinates personnel at the designated site under the instruction of supervisor.
  • Assists members of employment services management with contract negotiations and pursuance of new contracts.
  • Supervises employees at designated work site in the absence of the supervisor.

Represents the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and with the general public, supporting the agency Vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents.

Furthers the organizational commitment to triple bottom line results: integrating social, economic and environmental goals into thinking, planning and actions.

Communication: Functions that pertain to various forms of interacting and collaborating with others.

  • Coordinates personnel at the designated site under the instruction of supervisor.
  • Assists members of employment services management with contract negotiations and pursuance of new contracts.
  • Cooperates closely with the Agency Employment Services department and other social service agencies.

Knowledge: Functions that pertain to learning and maintaining levels of information necessary for success.

  • Maintains a productive work environment that promotes positive employee morale and high-quality customer service and assures the continuance of contracted services.
  • Assures that services are performed according to prescribed methods and meet established standards set by the contracting party and the Agency.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment; ensures adequate security and compliance with safety and environmental regulations as well as with Agency health and safety standards.

Administration: Functions that pertain to daily activities of running a business

  • Monitors and orders supplies.
  • Maintains agency equipment
  • Assists supervisor in assuring that required records such as daily operation logs, time sheets, vacation and attendance reports, accident reports and employee files are accurate.
  • Performs duties of subordinate personnel when necessary.

Supervision: Functions that pertain to oversight of individuals, departments, or business units.

  • Supervises up to 15 employees at designated work sites in the absence of the supervisor.

Financial: Functions that pertain to the fiscal responsibility of a department or business unit

  • Schedules employees in a way that maintains budgeted labor.


  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year experience in a position involving comparable responsibility
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to handle strenuous physical activity, including infrequent heavy lifting
  • Valid driver’s license permitting operation of a vehicle in the State of Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont as applicable; safe driving record
  • Criminal background check that meets Agency standards
