Job Description

Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley is currently seeking an eCommerce Clerk with experience in fine jewelry appraisal and valuation to handle jewelry donations within our ShopGoodwill department.  Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Emphasis on identifying rare, collectible, and/or unique jewelry items to either feature or start at a higher opening bid.
  • Quickly researching items in order to determine value.
  • Deciding whether or not to list items, and whether or not to keep rejected items to bundle.
  • Listing items on the shopgoodwill.com website and other marketplaces accurately.
  • Weighing, measuring, and photographing items for listing in a way that accurately discloses both item quality and flaws.
  • Listing items on the shopgoodwill.com website and other marketplaces accurately and comprehensively, utilizing keywords to generate listing titles and item descriptions that will ensure maximum visibility.
  • Ensuring that items are safely and accurately shelved in order to minimize breakage, loss, and lost items.
  • Responding to customer inquiries within one business day or sooner.
  • Cleaning and testing items as needed.
  • Meeting all listing and revenue requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of fine jewelry appraisal and valuation required.   Previous online selling experience preferred. 
  • Photography experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of online sales platforms such as eBay, Amazon; as well as Microsoft Office products, such as Windows and Word, strongly desired.

Additional Information

Beginning rate of pay is $11.75 per hour.
