Job Description

Responsible for scanning and/or listing books and media on various eCommerce platforms, such as Amazon, eBay, and GoodwillBooks.   Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure book covers are untorn, spines are not broken, the pages are complete and in good condition, and, if part of a set, that the set is complete.
  • Ensure media cases and labels are intact and correct discs are inside. Note missing booklets.
  • When quality guidelines of books/media is met, scan.
  • Meet quota for items to be scanned every day.
  • Properly discard unaccepted product.
  • Use the most accurate description of the item when listing.
  • Ensure items are accurately and safely shelved to minimize loss and lost items.
  • Accurately pull sold items for shipping.
  • Purge old product as directed.
  • Notify eCommerce Supervisor in a timely manner when any supplies are needed.
  • Work independently with minimal instruction and/or direction from supervisor.
  • Cross-train in shipping to assist when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Outlook, and a general understanding of computer hardware and software required.
  • Ability to listen and follow verbal instructions.
  • Must have good attention to detail.

Additional Information

Beginning rate of pay is $11.75 per hour.
